6 Women Caught in Kohl’s Theft Spree, Macedonia Police Say

MACEDONIA, Ohio — A Kohl’s department store in Macedonia Commons became the scene of two major shoplifting incidents in a single day, leading to the arrest of six women and the recovery of more than $3,000 in stolen goods, according to local authorities.

Macedonia police were first dispatched to the store around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3, after receiving reports of five women allegedly stealing merchandise. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspects in the act and initiated foot chases. Three of the five individuals were apprehended at the scene. Law enforcement officials reported recovering more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the first group.

But the night didn’t end there.

While officers were still on-site conducting follow-up investigations, store staff alerted them to a second theft in progress—this time involving a separate group of three women. Acting quickly, police detained all three suspects and recovered over $2,300 in additional stolen merchandise.

The investigation into whether the two thefts are connected is ongoing. Police have not yet released the identities of the suspects.
