Kylie Jenner’s Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero’s Cause of Death Revealed After 3 Months

Nearly three months after his sudden death, the official cause of death for celebrity hairstylist Jesús Guerrero has been revealed.

Us Weekly confirmed that the 34-year-old passed away from natural causes. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Guerrero died due to complications from pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) and disseminated cryptococcus neoformans — serious fungal infections that are especially dangerous for individuals with compromised immune systems.

Guerrero, known for styling A-list celebrities like Kylie Jenner, died unexpectedly on February 22. His passing stunned both fans and the fashion and entertainment communities, where he was widely admired for his creativity and talent.

His sister, Gris Guerrero, previously shared with Us Weekly that Jesús had been hospitalized before his death and was battling health issues he largely kept private. She mentioned he had recently suffered from gastritis but was reluctant to open up about how unwell he truly was.

“He didn’t really let many people know what he was going through,” Gris said in March. “Those close to him would tell him to rest and seek help, but he thought he could overcome it on his own. Sadly, that wasn’t the case.”

Kylie Jenner, one of Guerrero’s closest friends and longtime clients, has expressed her profound grief in the months following his death. In April, she shared a heartfelt message alongside a throwback video on her Instagram Story.

“I really thought I could go through today without breaking down, but missing you still hurts so deeply,” she wrote. “Grief hasn’t gotten easier.”

She also reflected on how lonely she’s felt without him. “Every new moment without you feels painful,” she shared.

When news of his death broke in February, Jenner paid an emotional tribute on Instagram, describing Guerrero not just as a hairstylist but as a cornerstone in her life.

“Jesús wasn’t just my friend — he was my light, my laughter, my comfort. I can’t imagine having gone through the last decade without him beside me,” she wrote. “He had this magical way of making everything feel better, even on the hardest days.”

She continued, “Thank you for being my rock, for lifting my spirits, and for sharing your incredible talent with the world. The pain of losing you is something I can’t put into words, but I know that kind of pain only comes from deep love. And I loved you so much.”

Guerrero was widely celebrated in the beauty world for his artistry and vibrant personality. He inspired countless stylists and left behind a legacy of passion and excellence. His death has left a lasting void in the lives of many — from celebrity clients to those behind the scenes who knew him best.
